Our shower trays with Acrystone® technology can all be cut to size. This is a significant advantage that enhances versatility in design and installation, minimises the risk of error and makes professionals more efficient and autonomous. Fantastic allies for perfect installations.
We will now tell you how to cut a resin shower tray.
Each bathroom project is unique and many require customised equipment. So, in addition to the need for made-to-measure materials, the option for said materials to be adapted on site during the installation would in many cases offer an additional advantage to professionals.
We constantly strive to achieve increasingly flexible and convenient installations and our aim is to enable professional installers to achieve perfect results in any bathroom project by offering efficient solutions. This is why we develop materials that can be cut on site to allow you to work around pillars, corners or angles.
This is the case for the products that we manufacture using our Acrystone® technology, such as our resin shower trays and our bathroom countertops and shower panels. These products are made using materials that can be cut without negatively affecting the integrity or colour, as said materials are made from mineral fillers bonded to recycled polyester resins. Depending on their shape, most of our shower tray models can be cut out on site, which is a great advantage for installers.
How to cut a resin shower tray for installers, and its advantages
If you are an installer and are looking for materials that will make your work more profitable, our resin shower trays offer great advantages in terms of speed, efficiency and safety in the final adjustment.
In addition to their lightness for transport and handling, they can also be cut on site without causing damage or problems to any of their layers. The ability to cut the trays on site allows for more precise fitting, without losing quality or the manufacturer's warranty, and there is no need to wait as the cutting and installation can both be done on the same day.
We will now tell you step by step how to cut our resin shower trays:
Step 1: Precise measurement
Measure the space accurately, as well as each of the cuts that you need to make.
Step 2: Cutting process
Cut the shower tray with a diamond circular saw blade, always following the cutting limits indicated for each tray model. To ensure a clean cut without burrs, make sure you do not stop the saw during the cutting process.
Step 3: Fit the shower tray
Fit the shower tray into the space and fix it in place.
Since this quick process does not involve a final finish on the cut edge, we recommend cutting on the side that will be recessed, so the cut will be hidden.
However, if it is not possible to recess the cut side and you wish to have the best finish while still being able to fit the tray on the same day, you can ask the factory to cut it to size, then, not only will we manufacture it to size, but we will also adjust it to the millimetre and give it a clean and attractive finish so that the cut edge can be left visible.
We can therefore cut and finish the shower tray so that the final appearance of the visible cut edges will be as attractive as possible.
Optimum natural adaptability for bathroom spaces.
